TMGC Club Championship 2021

Sunday 5th September was TMGC ‘Major’ day – Current Champions Andrew Britten (Lowest Gross) and young Sam Davis (Lowest Net) were both in attendance to try and retain their trophies. We had only 18 members turn up for the competition – a bit disappointing but it was great to see 3 new members come and have a go all of whom will be looking to secure official TM handicaps and play more regularly in the competitions. The weather was set fair and the course was in absolutely immaculate condition with closely cut fairways and greens providing the perfect playing conditions – a huge thankyou to Kevin and Ollie for their work – and removing one excuse for bad scoring. A pleasure to play on – keep up the good work gents.

Phil Jarrett was crowned this year Club Champion with a lowest Gross Score of 63 – congratulations to Phil on a well deserved victory. 2nd place went to Mike England with a 66 and Scott Drummie 3rd with a 67.

For the Lowest Net Score trophy only 13 strokes separated top and bottom and was won by Scott Drummie who posted a 1-under par round of 53 (67-14), 2nd place went to Bren Miles par 54 (69-15) and 3rd Mike England 1 over par 55 (66-11). Well done to Scott on his victory. The nearest the pin prizes were a bit of a one horse race – Bryan Holden was on fire claiming both prizes on holes 2 and 6 – not sure how long the 2 sleeves of balls he won will last !! 🙂
