Our pre Easter weekend competition the Kingfisher Cup singles stableford. A real shame we only had 12 members turn up for this one, our lowest turnout for quite some time and 2 of those, Neil Armstrong and Lee Wolvey were unable to win the comp. as they were still getting cards to confirm their handicaps. Great to see them both competing though. Despite the low numbers we had a great morning golf and even better to see some different name in the top 3 spots.
Nearest the pin winners were Neil Clarke and Greg Saunders well done chaps.
Our eventual winner with 42 points (off 23 handicap) was Kevin McKenzie – well done to Kevin on his first singles competition victory. 2nd place went to Sam Davis 40 points (19 HC) and Neil Clarke 3rd with 38 points (HC 24). Well done too to Lee Wolvey who had a great morning – 42 points too and also picking up the £10 win on the football card. And of course our usual ‘hats off’ to Sue for the coffee and bacon rolls beforehand.
