The first competition of 2022 delayed a week due to bad weather and an unplayable course this took place on Sunday 16th. 14 of the ‘usual suspects’ turned up for this one and although damp the course was in good condition given the recent weather – thanks to Kevin and the team for getting the rough down, the fairways mown and the greens playable. Warm crusty bacon baps (nice enhancement Sue !) and coffees set us all up nicely. There was a wide range of scoring and clearly some of us very rusty after the Christmas break. There were only 4 net scores of par (Neil Clarke) or better (our Top 3).
In 3rd place was Bryan Holden net 52 (off 11) , 2 place went to Tom Jordan net 50 (off 20) just nudged out of top spot by the winner Richard Burgin (yes him again !!) with a net 49 (off 25). Well done to Richard on yet another victory.
Nearest the pin winners were Gary Beecham #5 and Tom Jordan #2. Kim won the £10 on the footy card.
