Our annual team event took place on Sunday 14th November – teams of 4. Each player tees off and the best of the four shots is selected. All players then play from the best position – this continue until the hole is completed. A group handicap is established at a % of the combined group handicaps. With at least one person in the group playing that great shot scoring should be good !. Hopefully !?
A total 16 players turned out to make up 4 teams of 4. and all groups shot under par rounds net of handicap. Impressive.
The winners were Club Captain Greg Saunders, Richard Burgin, Lee Wolvey and Ladies Captain Kim Tierney – gross 52 net 44 (handicap 8.1)
2nd Place – Phil Jarret, Joe Johnson, Dermot Newe and Mike Rutherford 53 gross net 46 (handicap 6.9)
3rd Place – Bren Miles, Jim Hawkshaw, Tom Jordan and Tony Whiting 56 gross net 49 (handicap 6.9)
4th Place – Scott Drummie, Alan Sawyer, Neil Clarke, Gary Beecham 59 gross net 51 (handicap 7.9)
It was good to see a few more members making their competition debuts – hope you all enjoyed it and return for future comps !

It was great to have Sue back on the catering front- she has made an amazing recovery since her operation since the October competition. What a diamond trooper she is, we are all delighted. Thanks Sue.
