Wow its now March and despite the weather and wet and boggy course conditions we have now played 3 out of 3 scheduled competitions in 2025. Brilliant.
A bit of a favorite this one – 2 Clubs and a putter only – stableford scoring, very few decisions to make if of course you’ve selected the right clubs for your game round TM. Normally scoring is pretty good despite the limited amount of clubs.
11 ‘faithfuls’ turned up on a glorious Sunday morning – bit chilly but we soon all warmed up after the usual coffee,tea and bacon rolls. Thanks to Sue and Richie B, Clarkey and Mike for organising the comp this month.
Onto the results ……in a tie for 3rd place Chris Davis and Jake Carvell with 35 points (Chris just pipping Jake on countback. Runner up this month was Rich Burgin with 36 points. Our winner with an impressive 40 points was Andy Thomas – well done Andy on 2 consecutive tournament wins.
It turned out to be a pretty good morning for Andy as he won both the skills prizes too – nearest the pin on the 2nd and nearest the pin in 2 on the 8th. Neil Clarke though also got down in 2 on the 8th sinking a 20 footer to do so the sleeve of balls went to Neil – Andy didn’t want to get too greedy. Touch of class. Rich Burgin made up for missing out on the trophy by winning the £20 raffle prize.
