Monthly competitions were back at Town Meadow this Sunday (12th July) – great weather and the course in fantastic condition. A good turn out of 18 golfers for the Rob Walker Trophy – combined Pairs Stableford – we’d still love more of you to come and join us though!!
Congratulations to our winners Ian Mackin and Alan Sawyer with 75 points. Runners Up were Paul Wake and Lee Collins on 70 points with Gary Beecham and Andrew Britten 3rd on 67 points. Nearest the Pin on Hole#3 was won by Mike England.
Next months (August) competition Sunday August 9th is the Duncan King Memorial Trophy – Duncan was a former captain of our club, a good golfer and a fantastic fella to be around. Duncan is fondly remembered and talked about by all of us who were privileged to have known him. We hope you will all come and support this Singles Strokeplay competition – let’s hope we can beat todays 18 players.
