13 players turned up for this competition on Sunday 13th July – a qualifying event for handicaps.
The weather was incredibly warm, even at 9.30 in the morning and after the recent drought conditions the ball was due to roll and bounce and scoring was expected to be very good and the competition tight at the top.
And so it turned out……more details of the overall scoring and handicap adjustments will follow once all the cards have been processed.
It was very very tight at the top, in fact it was a 3 way tie for the overall winner and the ‘countback’ system down to the last 3 holes came into play.
Our Top 3 all scoring 38 points were Jim Hawkshaw (3rd), David Ball (2nd) and our winner this month is Andy Thomas – who is having a very good competition year this being his 4th win of 2025.
Our nearest the pin winners were Tim Saunders on Hole 1 and David Ball on Hole 6 – a good morning for Tim as he walked off with the £20 raffle prize too.
