Our first fun / skill competition of 2023 – the 2 clubs and a putter challenge playing for the Charity Shield – an individual stableford event off full handicaps.
The current holder of this competition was Richard Burgin – sadly Richard was unable to come and defend his trophy as he is currently recovering from serious surgery and the unfortunate complications associated with that. All at TM wish Richard a full and speedy recovery and hope to see him back competing again soon !!
Anyway 13 players turned up hoping to take the trophy and all with fingers crossed that they had picked the right clubs for the course conditions – it was good to see a few more new members turn up to play their first competition too.
An 18 stableford point differential covered first to last place – our top 3 this month……..in 3rd place Neil Armstrong 35 points, runner up Bren Miles 36 points and our March winner was David Holding with a superb 40 points. Congratulations to David on his 1st competition win !!
Our nearest the pin winners this month were Neil Clarke (Hole 2) and Neil Armstrong (Hole 3) and well done to Graham Steele who won the £20 raffle prize.
Huge thanks to Kim and Bryan who helped run the competition in the absence of Captain Greg and of course to Sue back in charge of our restaurant 😉 serving much appreciated tea, coffee and bacon rolls. Hope to see you all again and more for our next competition after Easter.
