The second TMGC ‘major’ always precedes our Club Championship and is a memorial trophy for former member, Club captain, friend and all round great bloke Duncan King. This year only saw 10 competitors with many of our usual competitive faces absent.
A very warm day for the competition but the field was wide open for this Single strokeplay event, off full handicaps with everybody in with a shout of victory.
Our winner though was a very familiar face on the winners podium – congratulations to Richard Burgin with both the lowest gross (68) and net scores (53) relegating Jim Hawkshaw (net 53) and Neil Clarke (net 53) into 2nd and 3rd spots respectively. Great to see Neil and Jim up in the Top 3. A win for both of these guys is just round the corner I’m sure !
Nearest the pin winners were Dave Holding and Scott Drummie – well done fellas, and Captain Greg picked up £10 on the footy card.
