A really good turn out for the June competition – 18 members turned up and 9 pairs were drawn to play together with the highest combined stableford scoring pair to be declared the winner. Current holders of this competition were Kim Tierney and Kevin McKenzie. Kim was here to hopefully defend her title (Kevin wasn’t) – but who would she pair with ??
Some interesting pairings suggested competition would be tight but in the end 19 points separated first from last place.
Results – 3rd place Mike Rutherford & Simon Edwards (68 points); 2nd place Lee Wolvey & Graham Bond (69 points) and our June winners with the only under par stableford score of 76 points were Kim Tierney & Adrian Lines. Well done Kim on retaining your trophy albeit with a new partner this year.
A good day for Mike Rutherford too – he collected both nearest the pin prizes on Holes 2 & 5 – don’t lose your new balls Mike !!! And great to see Richard Burgin back in the competition fold after a long illness – he walked off with the £20 raffle prize……he always seems to win something 😉
